Paul Walker’s Daughter Settles with Porsche Over Actor’s Death

According to docs obtained by The Blast, 18-year-old Meadow reached a resolution with Porsche on October 16. The terms of the settlement are confidential, and both parties are requesting that the wrongful death case be dismissed. The documents state that Paul Walker’s father also settled a separate lawsuit against Porsche.
Meadow sued the car company in 2015 claiming her father initially survived the high-speed crash while he was a passenger in the Carrera GT, but was unable to escape the wreckage after being trapped by the seat belt, and was burned alive.
They claimed the seatbelt “Snapped Walker’s torso back with thousands of pounds of force, thereby breaking his ribs and pelvis.”  They also claimed the car had major stabilization issues.
Walker’s lawyers accused Porsche of knowing the Carrera GT had a history of “instability and control issues.”
Paul Walker died November 2013 in Valencia, CA after the car he was a passenger in careened off the road into a telephone poll and burst into flames.  The crash was determined to be the result of driving at high speeds between 80-93 MPH.
